The Assistant Manager – Human Resources is responsible for supporting and executing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization’s business objectives. This role oversees key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, compensation and benefits administration, and HR operations.
Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements.
Source, screen, interview, and recommend suitable candidates.
Ensure a positive candidate experience and smooth onboarding.
Build and maintain positive employee relationships.
Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues professionally.
Support employee engagement initiatives and organizational culture programs.
Coordinate the performance appraisal process.
Assist managers in setting performance goals and conducting reviews.
Monitor performance improvement plans where required.
Identify training needs across departments.
Coordinate internal and external training programs.
Track employee learning and development activities.
Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
Ensure HRIS data accuracy and confidentiality.
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and analytics.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Support internal and external audits related to HR.
Update HR policies in line with legal and organizational changes.
Assist in payroll coordination and benefits administration.
Support salary benchmarking and annual compensation reviews.
Address employee queries related to payroll and benefits.
Organize employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and recommend improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent is preferred.
4–7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
Experience handling multiple HR functions in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Recruitment and talent management expertise.
Employee relations and conflict resolution skills.
Performance management and organizational development knowledge.
HR analytics and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
